Elizabeth turned 3 in September, she is just like her mother. Determined, independent and argumentative. She will also quite happily explain something to you in full detail until you understand it to prove her point. Most of the time we try not to laugh as she comes up with far fetched stories to show why she should have the toy that Alison was playing with or why she needs some sweets, chocolate or more stories.

Determination is good but it means that she has to do things in a very particular way and if things are not done in that way full blown tantrum ensues.

Independence is a good thing in a toddler as well isnt it?

But what about being argumentative? She gives a good argument but unfortunately when you have to prove her wrong, like you do in life, unfortunately it means more tantrums.

So any of your kids have these characteristics? How do you cope with it?
